After several months of trying to find a suitable place we have finally found a wonderful place to start the Tai Chi classes in Larnaca at the Gaia Wellbeing centre. On Thursday the 31st May starting at 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. I will be holding a free open workshop for all beginners and experienced Tai Chi people to try out the Tai Chi with me for a two hour class, covering Qigong and the foundation 16 step form.

I would like to start by saying a big thank you to all of you who attend the World Tai Chi and Qigong event at Acropolis Park, in central Nicosia last Saturday. The day was brilliant and what an energy we all created together doing some great Tai Chi and drumming. We even had some stalls selling some great products and in the end and without realizing, we had created a carnival atmosphere where even children joined in.

Annika Nicolaou runs her drumming group around Cyprus and I have been fortunate enough to work with her and her group on several occasions. The magic is in the energy they create and every time I do a Tai Chi form to their sound I am carried away into the heavens. They created a wonderful wave of music that swept us all away and when we had just though we had gone as high as we could go a very special wind blew through our area lifting us even higher.

I know the heavens heard us that day, our ancestors had truly visited us and lifted the healing energy we had created together into the heart of the great mother and spirit. Thank you so much Annika our love and gratitude goes out to you and the group and I hope I am privileged enough to dance with you all again one day.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Kalia, who is an advanced student in Nicosia. She single handedly organized the whole event from dealing with and gaining permission from the local authority, advertising the event in Greek and English and worked tirelessly behind the scenes brining it all together. 

It was a great day Kalia thanks to you and everyone enjoyed a trouble free day. It would have never happened without you, so from everyone involved, thank you from the bottom of hearts.

Last Sunday, Sue and I were invited by Caroline Evans who runs the Herb garden in Pano Akourdaelia in the Akamas Region to meet with some practitioners. We had some wonderful herbal tea and special cake and not forgetting to talk about and demonstrate Tai Chi. The day was great as we worked under the 1000 year old olive tree, who shared her energy with us. It was really grounding and healing as her roots spread deep under the ground and touched our hearts.

Caroline is a wonderful herbalist who works really hard and is a wonderful human being. She run her practice from the herb garden and at the same time looks after the garden so we can all have natural and organic herbs. As most of you now I never really push products on the website as I try to refrain from becoming commercial unless you specifically demand one.

A while ago I asked Sue, my wife who is a leading Aromatherapist to make me an oil to help sooth and enhance my chakras, because of all the healing I had been doing. Well she set off on a mission and after several attempts she came up with a wonderful formula (not even known to me) and produced the Fragrant Chakra set. 

Some of you have already purchased the set and the feed back has been amazing. You just place a drop of the oil onto the relevant Chakra and you start to feel the soothing affect straight away. They are great for meditation, which is what I use them for the most or just general wellbeing. You can order one of the two sizes shown above. I have stated for the last 5 years that the truth is coming to the surface and finally the time has arrived. What does this mean to us all and yes 2012  will play it's part. Most people when thinking of 2012 form an opinion that the world will end or some sort of disaster will take place. The reality is that we will see all living things and this means everything, because everything is alive, in a very different way.

Not only will we will be able to see each others energy, we will also be able to tell how we interact with all living things and how they interact with us by seeing and feeling their energy. We will know when someone is stealing or giving us energy. We will also know when someone is not being truthful to us. This is what animals, insects,  plants and mother earth has been doing from the beginning of time. It has only taken human beings 4 million years to catch up.

I will look to the heart of all living things to know who they are.
I will know where they come from and where they are destined.
I will feel the love they have in their heart.
I will feel the love they have for all others.
No longer will I be afraid of not knowing.
No longer will I fear the dark as my heart will light the way.
I no longer need to speak for all will be said within my energy.
They who take energy from others will be found out.
Those who give energy to others will be blessed.
There will be no need to forgive anymore, only to be forgiven.

When I awake I will see the truth that human beings have created and I will lay down upon the earth and be cradled in the great mothers heart, the cradle of truth.

After great thought, I knew it was time to move the spring workshop to a new location and what better place than Platres.  where we will be able to escape the heat, get some fresh air and have a chance to do some great meditation work and Tai Chi in a very special place, which I have been shown.

We will also be supported by Annika and her drumming group. The event will also take in a nature walk and a visit to the famous chocolate shop and hopefully some of you will be able to learn how to make chocolate... Tai Chi is so healthy, but who can resist organic dark chocolate. I am not saying anymore.

I have committed to the event, so you can now start booking your hotels if you are planning on attending the event. After you all telling me how much you loved Acropolis park, I decided to hold the next Tai Chi workshop there. 

The workshop will be held on Saturday the 26th May starting at 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m The workshop is open to all students of the school regardless of your level. The cost is 10 Euros and please download the flyer from the workshops page. I hope to see you all there for what will be another wonderful workshop. We will meet at the cafe bar at 10:00 a.m. in the park.

Well it has finally arrived after so much hard work and several attempts to finally shoot a DVD on my own. 

The DVD is for people studying Tai Chi with me as it is not a fully instructional video, but it is a DVD where you can follow me doing the exercises for a full 20 minutes. There is even a sitting meditation part, where you can join me in a quite moment to silence your energy and return it to your centre.

The DVD comes with a handbook and the handbook providers detailed instruction in how to do the exercises. It also covers the principals and the history of the 8 Piece Brocade. 

I have managed to keep the cost down due to me finding a way in which I can provide you all with low cost production DVD. If you would like to receive a copy of the DVD please email your order here. The cost of the DVD and handbook is 10 Euro. The handbook on it's own is 5 Euros.

If I have a favorite form using an extension to the hand, then the fan has to be it.

I absolutely love the fan, because it allows one to express both elements of Ying and Yang and to dance like an eagle. 

I was fortunate enough to be able to do the form to the drumming of Annika's group recently and I must say they just made me dance and connect in a way I had never been able to with the fan before. After many years of dancing with the fan I have had little chance or no chance to teach this exquisite form, so I decided on the day that I would find a way to teach this to the students by holding a weekend intensive soon. 

I have tried to hold a weekly class, but the schedule is full so the best way forward is to hold a fortnightly one day intensive every month until people have learnt the form. I do hope you can join me and let me know if you are interested by contacting me here.

The new beginners class is underway and is picking up momentum. It takes time for a new class to settle in and the new students are working hard to progress. Diane who is teaching the class is doing a splendid job and I held the class myself this Friday to see how the students were progressing and of course to meet them all. I was very impressed with their Tai Chi and I would like to say a big welcome to the school and Thank you for joining and I hope that you have a wonderful Tai Chi learning experience.
